Block Adoption

NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK DEVELOPMENT PLANNING COMMUNITY DIRECTORS (NBDPCD)

After following a chance based research process and interviewing many residents and visitors of Detroit, I along with my partner concluded the public is fed up with overlooked blocks in the city. We developed the Neighborhood Block Development Planning Community Directors (NBDPCD), with a mission to make Detroit’s neighborhoods more livable, one block at a time. The NBDPCD began by putting different Detroit neighborhood blocks up for adoption. Our hope is to showcase how most blocks just need simple trash clean-up and how this little act of helping will really help improve Detroit’s landscape.
